Receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and process to meet goals outlined.   As the Regional Business Unit’s Customs Manager, they will support the locations in managing customs compliance for both imports and exports, interfacing with all the various functional areas, the designated Import/Export Administrators for the assigned locations, and Teledyne’s Corporate International Trade Compliance (“CITC”) office. Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Main Responsibilities:   Supporting the EHS team which will include but is not limited to: - Adhering to and promoting all required health, safety and welfare policies established by the facility. - Undertaking activities to support compliance with health and safety legislation, e.g. fire safety checks, safety signage audits, first aid checks. - Administration of computer and database systems, including maintenance of records and preparation of documents for issue. - Assisting with the display screen equipment (DSE) assessment programme, e.g. reviewing DSE self-assessment forms, and assisting with workstation assessments. - Assisting with incident investigations, causation analysis, identification and implementation of corrective actions, and presentation of data. - Supporting the audit and inspection programme by assisting with audit scheduling, gathering of evidence, and identification and implementation of corrective actions. - Assisting with the delivery of virtual and face-to-face health, safety & environment training for staff and students, e.g. new starter inductions. - Supporting EHS engagement events and activities. - Supporting the EHS team’s commitment to continuous improvement of health & safety management on site. - Positively influencing safety behaviours in others and helping to resolve health & safety challenges.   Essential Experience/Competencies: - Good written and oral communication skills - Accurate data recording with good attention to detail - Good organisational skills - Experience of Microsoft Office - Self-motivated and proactive - Able to exercise total discretion with confidential and sensitive information - A keen interest in health, safety, and environmental management - An appreciation and basic understanding of the organisation and its sectors     Responsible for personal aspects of qualification, which will include but is not limited to: - - Completion of assignments within agreed time frame. - Attendance at all tutor led sessions. - This job description is only an outline of the tasks, responsibilities and outcomes required of the role. The role holder will support tasks required to drive improvements and will advise and undertake a programme of risk based audits in house and within the supply chain (if appropriate) to drive improvements (including the. evolution) of Business Management system. The role holder will support dedicated projects to deliver the quality and Product Assurance requirements and will: - advise/establish the Product Assurance and compliance to requirement aspects of potential new projects and products, and generation of Product Assurance Plans - support the Design, Test and Manufacturing Readiness Reviews within the project lifecycle - support the assembly, verification, validation and test phases of the project - ensure quality requirements flowdown between customer, Teledyne e2v and supply chain - support the administration of, co-authorise and close out permits, concessions and NRBs The role holder will support external audits as required (product certification bodies and customers) and facilitate Customer mandated inspections (including administration of staff and facilities) The role holder will fulfil Product Assurance roles as directed by the Product Assurance Manager to support the growth of the Business Unit and any transformational activities identified (including taking a flexible and adaptable approach) and be prepared to think “outside the box” to address areas of concern (if applicable). The role holder will actively participate in providing support to other Teledyne companies across the globe (through training and significant periods of on-site support).
