    We require a SW Configuration Management Engineer for the Teledyne DALSA Professional Imaging R&D department, located on the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. The candidate will join a team of software and firmware engineers in the SD&S (System Development and Support) group (which is part of the R&D department). This group develops host software and firmware for medical and industrial detectors.  

     

     

    Position Summary and Responsibilities

    Responsibilities of the SW Configuration Management Engineer:

    • Develop and maintain continuous build&integration (CI/CD) infrastructure of detector firmware and host software for multiple OS environments.
    • Responsible for planning, implementation and improvement of the Configuration Management process, which creates traceability on everything that is developed and fully controls all that is delivered to customers.
    • Writing build- and deployment scripts.
    • Training and supporting developers in using source control, through build and test automation, continuous integration and deployment, tools usage, policies, guidelines and standards.

    Qualifications

    Required Skill Set:

    • Experience with build automation tools – Jenkins preferred and scripting languages (like Groovy, powershell etc.)
    • Experience with a software development lifecycle process including testing (unit-, functional testing and test automation techniques).
    • Knowledge of source code control management systems and configuration management (i.e. Git, Microsoft Team Foundation Server, Subversion etc.)
    • Experienced with Windows, Linux and in creating Virtual Machines with VirtualBox.
    • Good understanding of Quality Control and Test Automation in Agile-based Continuous Integration environments.
    • Teamwork is essential, as the successful candidate will be required to work with the host software and detector firmware team.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills in the English Language, Dutch is definitely a pre.
    • Interest in electronics, imaging and knowledge on C/C++/C# MS Visual Studio and GCC are a definite advantage.

    The job is open for candidates with at least 3-7 years previous work with a bachelor degree in or equivalent to Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related technical disciplines.

    The candidate will report to the Manager of the SD&S software group.
