Customer-focussed, the Product Assurance Engineer’s role is to ensure that customer expectations are met or exceeded through effective project planning (bid & execution) and control, and in the event of escapes, to ensure that appropriate root cause investigation takes place and that corrective and preventive action is planned, tested and implemented.

Working with the project teams and the customer, the PA Engineer will be instrumental in ensuring the design and manufacturing risk (in terms of quality) is identified, evaluated and mitigated through the demonstration of existing heritage and/or new design and manufacturing process validation. In addition, prompt identification and prioritisation of non-conformance, ensuring non-conformance is managed with clearly defined containment, identification of root cause and effective implementation of corrective action at project and management systems level will play a key part in the role.

Having recently been through a period of transformation, the Business Unit is growing and expanding in to new areas. This has provided the opportunity to grow the capabilities of the Business Assurance group, allowing the PA Engineers flexibility in the types of project supported and the opportunity to provide service support to other Teledyne companies around the world.
