Company Overview

Teledyne Defence and Space are seeking key individuals to join the existing assembly teams, engaged in the production of advanced electronics systems and integrated end-to-end RF & microwave solutions for the Defence, Space and Security markets.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the appropriate build standards and the required level of quality is maintained for all electronic and mechanical manufactured assemblies through stage and final inspection activity.

 

Flexibility will be required as there is a possibility that a shifts system will be introduced.

Position Summary and Responsibilities

  • To provide stage and final inspections activities at assembly and post-test stages,
  • Visual Inspection of metalwork and circuits (bare-boards & assembled) as necessary,
  • Ensure completion and accuracy of all necessary production documentation,
  • To ensure that all manufactured products are assembled to specification or relevant build standards,
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment,
  • Adhere to all ESDP procedures,
  • To assist with other areas of quality inspection as required,
  • To make decisions on defects/acceptable work,
  • Ensure Production Inspection Record (PIR) are complete & accurate,
  • Raise and advise on Non-Conformance Reports in regard to faults or issues of quality,
  • To assist the Quality department in highlighting specific production issues,
  • Collate, review and report internally generated SPC & Key Characteristic (KC) data from build & test stages to ensure adherence to product specification.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Experience of Visual Quality Inspection within and Engineering/Electronics production environment
  • Experience in a similar environment using intricate measuring equipment,
  • Excellent communication, organization skills,
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills,
  • Excellent attention to detail,
  • Self- motivated with the ability to prioritise own workload.
  • Experience of assembly stage inspection to IPC-610 standards would be of benefit, but not essential 
  • Computer literate, including e-mail and excel.
