Position Summary and Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

  • You will work with Design Engineering, New Product Introduction and the Manufacturing teams to ensure that product designs are stable and can be seamlessly transitioned to manufacturing.
  • You will support procurement, quality and manufacturing, resolving technical issues that are impacting deliverables and/or product quality and reliability.
  • You must have the ability to complete a detailed data analysis and clearly identify/define the problem.
  • You must have the ability to quickly understand circuit functionality and design intent to determine potential issues.
  • You will have a thorough understanding of analog and digital circuits and the ability to modify designs to address issues.
  • You will complete failure analysis investigations to determine the root cause of product and process failures.
  • You will use proven problem solving methods to determine root cause of product failures.
  • You will be responsible for creating clear, concise and thorough technical documentation.
  • You will be responsible for managing and progressing, multiple activities with changing priorities


The following are requirements for this position:

  • Bachelor of Applied Science or Engineering or equivalent from an accredited University
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with tight deadlines
  • Able to analyze data and statistics
  • Knowledge and experience with laboratory test equipment and data analysis tools
  • above average organization skills.
  • creative problem solver with attention to detail

The following experience/knowledge are assets 

  • Experience in the area of image sensors and/or digital cameras/imaging systems
  • Experience working in an engineering role within a fast paced production environment
  • Experience in both product development and design for manufacturability
  • Knowledge of Kepner-Tregoe or other formal problem solving methods.
