Software Engineer

 

We are looking for a Software Engineer to support the growing business and new product developments for our X-ray detectors for use in Medical, Non Destructive Testing and Security applications.  As Software engineer you are, within a project, responsible for the development of our (multi-site) sensor- and detector test systems. These detectors are used in medical and industrial X-ray imaging applications.

This development includes all steps, starting from the specification, development, integration, verification, validation and release of the software.

Position Summary and Responsibilities

Your responsibilities

  • Initiation and creation of specifications of our test systems, -programs and –algorithms within a project.
  • Development, verification/validation and analysis of software for sensor- and detector production test systems.
  • Research on, and implementation and verification of imaging- and test algorithms.
  • Development of tooling, supporting R&D and Operations.
  • Initiation and forming a team regarding deployment and changes with other engineers, Quality-, Research, NPI- and (multi-site) production department.
  • Represent and Report progress of Tester Development in a multidisciplinary project team.
  • Clear and concise reporting in English about all activities, documents and specifications,
  • following good documentation practice and other elements of ISO 9001 and ISO 13485.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone

  • With a bachelor degree in Software Engineering/Technical Computer Science or similar
  • With at least 5-10 years of experience as a software engineer
  • With experience on programming languages like C# , C++,MS Visual Studio, scripting and configuration management.
  • Who is a team player, as the successful candidate will be required to work with the sensor and detector hardware project teams in Eindhoven as well as the manufacturing teams in Eindhoven and Waterloo (Canada), with key customers, all within a team of 9 other software engineers.
  • Who has good debugging skills
  • Who has profound knowledge of English and Dutch in verbal communication, reading and writing.
  • Who is quality driven.

It would be great if you

  • Have experience with or have knowledge on CI/CD, V&V, Gauge R&R/Six sigma/Statistics/Data analytics, development against ISO13485.
  • Have interest in electronics, image processing and hardware/firmware in general.

You will join the System Development & Support Group (SD&S) which is part of the R&D team located at the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, “the world’s smartest city”.
