A Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) program offers an efficient solution to this challenge, involving the regular downloading, replay, and analysis of flight data recorded during the airline’s operation. Many departments within an airline can use the results of the analysis, for example: Operations, Safety, Training and Engineering.
Teledyne Controls Flight Data Company (TCFDC) is the principal office in the United Kingdom where one of the business activities is the development of sophisticated ground-based software applications for the replay and analysis of recorded flight data after retrieval from the aircraft. We are pleased to announce that we now have a position available for a for a Senior Software Engineer to join a small, highly skilled team developing FDM systems for the aviation industry. Our customers include many commercial airlines as well as some military organisations. You will have the opportunity to develop your own skills as well as learning new ones and get to use a wide range of programming languages and tools within a challenging, varied, and exciting environment.
We are looking for an enthusiastic team member who has strong verbal and written communications skills and who is as passionate about writing the best software as we are. Ideally you will have experience of, or at least a real interest of working in, the aviation industry. In return, we offer a demanding but flexible working environment that is very rewarding. This is a full-time position based at the West Drayton facility.
As a Senior Software Engineer you will have responsibility for the design, coding and unit testing of your work. Being an ISO-certified organization, we will also expect you to prepare the supporting documentation, as well as using and maintaining configuration management, change control and other software life-cycle systems for and during each of these activities.
