Position Summary and Responsibilities


Inspection of components using standard measuring equipment and three co-ordinate measuring machines, in line with drawings and specifications.  Work closely with suppliers to catch potential problems at early stage of manufacture

  • Inspection of incoming sub-contracted components to mechanical drawings using both electronic measuring machines, and handheld measuring equipment.
  • To produce, prove out and run new programmes for the CNC Computerised Measuring Machine.
  • To ensure maintenance records and documentation is accurate.
  • To ensure discrepancies are reported correctly.
  • To liase with key suppliers QA departments to assist in resolving issues
  • Use MRP system.
  • Assist materials team with resolving quality issues either in-house, or at the supplier’s premises as required.
  • Update operations with material updates
  • Source inspection at suppliers as required


Skilled in measurement techniques using micrometers, hole gauges, thread gauges, callipers

Able to understand metalwork drawings

PCB inspections a plus

Autocad skills a plus

Computer literate
